Qualification for Jamia Millia Islamia Hiring 2020
Assistant Professor:- Candidates who wanted to participate for Jamia Millia Islamia Assistant Professor job should 1. Good academic record as defined by the University with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s degree in Mass Communication from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited Indian or Foreign University with Film/ Digital Video/ Cinema Production (Cinematography) as a core subject. 2. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test ( ET) in relevant subject conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/ SET. 3. Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D Degree) Regulations. 2009 or 2016, and their subsequent amendments from time to time shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/ SLET/ SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universies/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions a. The Ph.D degree of the candidate has been awarded in regular mode only. b. The Ph.D thesis has been awarded by at least two external examiners. c. An open Ph.D viva voce of the candidate has been conducted. d. The candidate has published at least two research papers from his/ her Ph.D work out of which one is in a referred journal. e. The candidate has published at least two research papers based on Ph.D work in Conferences/ Seminars.Desirable: 1. Worked as a Cinematographer for at least for two years on the latest professional cameras in a Film/ digital Production set up of repute. 2. Working knowledge of digital cinematography/ videography, 16mm film cameras and related editing software ·sand workflows for production and post-production work. 3. Teaching experience of Cinematograph) in Post Graduate Courses.
